…But Are These Procedures Permanent?
Yes. Some parts of mommy makeover surgery are permanent – with a few caveats. Future pregnancies will undo much of what has been accomplished through mommy makeover surgery. So too will unhealthy lifestyle choices like tobacco use, poor diet, and lack of exercise.
Once fat has been removed, it cannot “grow back.” New fat can, however, accumulate if steps are not taken to maintain results.
As with any body contouring procedure, results can last for years or even forever, but they are not impervious to lifestyle choices, genetics, or the simple process of aging. To maintain your results, it will be important that you adopt a healthy lifestyle complete with dietary and exercise choices that support your goals.
