What is Microneedling
The Collagen P.I.N.® is a microneedling device that mechanically creates micro-injures to the skin tissue through the use of a 36-needle arrangement of medical-grade stainless steel sterilized needles. The small micro-injuries to the skin promote a healing response that reveals a visible transformation to the treated area. The treatment aims to smooth, tone, and firm the skin.
How does Microneedling treatment feel like?
CollagenP.I.N. microneedling treatments take as little as 30 minutes and when administered by an experienced provider, can deliver results with minimal post-procedure irritation and downtime. The Collagen P.I.N.® device was specifically designed to improve the patient experience and reduce the number of treatments needed to achieve results.
Is the treatment painful?
Prior to treatment, the medical provider may apply a topical numbing agent. Most microneedling patients report feeling little-to-no pain at all once a topical numbing agent has been applied.
In a clinical trial, 94% of patients reported no dryness, roughness of skin, itching, and burning – and 64% reported no tightness, erythema, and edema 2-3 days post-treatment.
How does this Microneedling procedure differ from others?
The CollagenP.I.N.® disposable needle cartridge is designed in a single configuration – a 36-pin array in a radial arrangement, with all needles a length of 0.5 – 3.0 mm. The needles are composed of medical-grade stainless steel, with a 1.0 mm conical taper to each needle tip for maximum penetration with minimal pain.
Additionally, unlike using PRP with microneedling with unknown clinical results, Microneedling at Genesis is performed with ExoIE exosomal plant-based products. These products have been clinically proven to stimulate skin cells. We will give you a 7-day pretreatment with DETOX, followed by a TREATMENT syringe with EXOIE at time of the treatment and followed by 7-day treatment with EXOIE Repair. The healing is faster and the results are better.
The uniquely controlled creation of percutaneous microchannels in the skin by the CollagenP.I.N. offers minimal damage to the epidermis and creates an optimal environment for the skin to heal. When used in conjunction with EXO|E Skin Revitalizing Complex for post-treatment care there is a visibly faster reduction in the appearance of facial imperfections from scarring & fine lines.
When will I see improvement in my skin?
Commonly, patients report seeing positive changes as soon as 3-4 weeks after the first treatment. However, a series of treatments is recommended for better, lasting results.
Microneedling results vary based on the area being treated, the needle depth chosen by your provider, and your individual skin health. Your provider may recommend follow-up skincare to complement your treatment and aesthetic results. A series of treatments is usually recommended for better, lasting results.
