Facelift surgery addresses sagging skin and mid-face hollowness, but it cannot add volume or fullness to the face. If lifting underlying tissue might result in a too-tight look, Dr. Panchal can use facial fat transfer to ensure the most pleasing results. Unlike dermal fillers, which only last for a few months to a year, facial fat transfer produces long-lasting results. In many cases, this procedure will produce results as long as or longer than the facelift itself.
Am I a Good Candidate?
The best candidates for a Naturale facelift are people who have sagging jowls and loose and hollow skin between the jawline and the cheeks. Facelift surgery does not address anything above the cheeks. If issues with the eyelids and forehead are present, blepharoplasty and a brow lift can be added to the procedure.
In addition to having issues correctable by facelift surgery, good candidates will need to be:
- In good health
- Physically and emotionally prepared for surgery
- Able to take time away from responsibilities to recover
- Willing to follow all directions provided by our office
The incisions placed during deep extended facelift surgery are carefully placed to help them be unnoticeable after recovery. The steps you take before and after your procedure will play a direct role in how effective this placement proves to be. We will work with you every step of the way to help guard against complications and ensure the most pleasing outcomes.
Facelift surgery is neither right nor necessary for every individual. Scheduling a private consultation with our board-certified plastic surgeon can help you determine if it’s the best choice for you.
