Can BOTOX Lift Eyebrows?

BOTOX® Cosmetic has been approved to treat the lines in between the eyebrows, creases across the forehead, and lines at the corners of the eyes. It is useful for treating nasolabial folds, pebbly chin, jowls, and neck bands as well.

BOTOX® Cosmetic may provide some lift for the eyebrows when injected into their support muscles, but significant lift is not expected with this treatment.

BOTOX® Cosmetic works by reducing the activity of the facial muscles. This allows for a temporary smoothing of the skin. It does not impact normal functioning.

A single treatment may begin to produce results within 24 to 48 hours and can continue to allow for smooth, youthful skin for up to four months. When muscle activity begins to increase, a touch-up treatment can help lengthen results without the risk of long-term complications.

In addition to BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dr. Panchal is pleased to offer the option of Jeuveau™, also known as “newtox,” for good candidates. Similar to BOTOX® Cosmetic, Jeuveau may give gentle lift to the eyebrows, but has not been specifically designed for that purpose.

Brow Lift

If you struggle with sagging eyebrows that detract from your appearance or obstruct your vision, a brow lift may be the best option. With this procedure, our board-certified plastic surgeon can lift underlying tissue and smooth overlying skin while lifting the eyebrows into a more alert, attentive, and appealing position. If this procedure has been deemed necessary by your ophthalmologist for vision purposes, it may even be covered by insurance. We can discuss this with you in greater detail during your time in our care.

Forehead lift surgery may be enhanced through the addition of blepharoplasty. Eyelid surgery can address the puffy, dark circles underneath the eyes, eliminate crow’s feet, and remove folds and loose skin from the upper eyelids. Blepharoplasty can help restore vision when it is being obstructed through eyelid ptosis.
