When Will Results be Visible?
Fraxel® is designed to begin producing results after a single treatment. These treatments generally take 20 to 25 minutes, depending on the area or areas being treated. Some peeling will occur in the days following treatment. While painless, proper skin care is important to help prevent further irritation. We can help you choose the right skincare products for optimal results.
While designed to produce results after one treatment, it is common to need three or four sessions, spaced a few weeks apart, to reach ideal outcomes. This is different for every patient and will be based on factors, including the area being treated, the concern being addressed, and the extent of visible imperfection that requires correcting. During your initial consultation, we can help you determine how many treatments you may need to achieve the results you desire.
Results from Fraxel® will continue to improve as time passes. Immediate results may be somewhat obscured by peeling skin. This will resolve on its own within a few days. Within a few months, as collagen production, stimulated by treatment, continues to increase, results will improve accordingly. Typically, final results are realized within six months, though improvements may continue for up to a year.
