About Revanesse® Versa™
Versa was developed by Prollenium Medical Technologies over a 15-year period and has been available worldwide since 2012. Approved by the FDA in 2017, this unique dermal filler was released to the U.S. market in 2019 where it has shown to offer remarkable results for men and women who desire a fuller and less aged appearance.
The active ingredient in Versa is hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance that occurs naturally in the body and is essential for soft, full, and youthful-looking skin. As we age, the production of HA slows and fat, muscle, and skin in the face begins to thin. When injected into areas of the face that have become sunken or wrinkled, HA attracts water, hydrating the skin from the inside and filling in those areas that have been most impacted by age.
Versa works immediately to restore lost volume to the skin while creating a framework that allows for long-lasting results. Just one treatment can create a softer and more youthful appearance for up to 12 months, and results can easily be maintained with regularly scheduled treatments.
Depending on the severity of your facial wrinkles, it may take more than one syringe of Versa to produce ideal results. How is Revanesse Versa different from other dermal fillers?
Revanesse® Versa™ is a hyaluronic acid filler, just as are the more well-known dermal fillers Juvéderm® and Restylane®. The difference with Versa™ is that the proprietary manufacturing used creates a filler that doesn’t break down as quickly. Plus, Revanesse® Versa™ uses Thixofix® cross-linking technology that makes it easier to inject, easier to shape to the area, and provides a more natural feel and appearance when compared to thicker gel fillers.
Frequently Asked Questions About Revanesse Vera
Revanesse® Versa™ is injected into the deep dermal layer of the skin, beneath the outer epidermis and above the fat layer. Prior to your injections, we provide topical numbing anesthetic to keep you comfortable.
These injections take just 15-30 minutes, depending upon where we are injecting Versa™. There isn’t any recovery; you can return to work or your normal activities immediately after leaving our offices in Edmond or Norman.
Revanesse® Versa™ is a hyaluronic acid filler, as are Juvéderm® and Restylane®. With all of these fillers there isn’t any downtime or recovery. You can get right back to your normal life after your injections.
Because hyaluronic acid is a substance that occurs naturally in the human body, reactions to Revanesse® Versa™ are very rare. Plus, if the patient isn’t happy with the look of an injected area, Dr. Panchal can inject an enzyme, hyaluronidase, into the area and it instantly breaks down and neutralizes the hyaluronic acid and returns the skin to its former appearance. Otherwise, there can be a little redness and slight swelling at the injection sites, but that passes very quickly. Results are immediate.
