A Woman Looking at Her PRP Before InjectionPlatelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a specially formulated substance with high concentrations of growth factors that serve to improve healing response and encourage more noticeable results following various cosmetic treatments. PRP has both solo and combination uses and may prove very beneficial as an adjuvant treatment to many non-surgical rejuvenation services offered at Genesis Plastic Surgery & Med Spa. During your initial consultation, Dr. Panchal will listen to your concerns and review all of your options to help ensure you are choosing the best treatments for your needs.

How Dr. Panchal Uses PRP

Most often, PRP is used for facial rejuvenation. On its own, PRP can help improve blood flow and stimulate some of the building blocks necessary for a full and soft complexion. Combined with dermal fillers, PRP can serve to enhance results significantly while also serving to extend results.

PRP can be used for female-specific treatments including those for breast lift and sexual health. When used for a breast lift, PRP can assist in smoothing the skin of the cleavage, reduce the visibility of stretch marks, and may even help push inverted nipples outward. It should be noted, however, that a PRP breast lift will not be able to produce the same results as its surgical namesake.

When used for sexual health in women, PRP can be injected into the G Spot to improve response. This same injection may address some bladder issues as well and can be performed in conjunction with labiaplasty for greater comfort and improved sexual response in women facing loose, extended, or stretched labial tissue.

PRP can be used in both men and women to enhance dermal filler results or to improve microneedling outcomes. It can also be used to encourage faster healing after hair loss treatment and to speed the rate at which stronger hair grows - a claim supported by research published by the National Institutes of Health.

It is important to remember that while PRP has shown promise and is supported by research in certain areas, some of its cosmetic uses have been verified only through small or anecdotal studies. Clinical studies have proven hopeful, but there is some controversy over the efficacy of PRP when used for cosmetic purposes. Dr. Panchal is a board-certified plastic surgeon with over 20 years of experience. During your initial consultation, he will provide you with frank and honest information about all of your treatment options, the results you can expect, and the number of treatments that may be required to ensure you are choosing the best treatment for your needs.
